According to some US reports, the singer's five-year marriage to British film director Guy Ritchie is in trouble. But in spite of the circulating rumors that say Madonna is facing marital problems, her spokeswoman insisted that the singer's marriage is not on the rocks.

New York editor Ben Widdicombe claimed that some sources had told him: "The couple have split but they're keeping it quiet." At the same time Madonna's spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg, has replied that the couple's relationship is not in danger, in fact it is "as strong as ever."

The spokeswoman also adds that all these rumors have no real base, as Guy, the 37-year-old husband of Madonna, has recently spent a lot of time with his wife while she has been filming the video for her new single "Sorry".

"Guy came to the set to visit, once with the children, Rocco and Lourdes, and once without. Mr. and Mrs. Ritchie seemed comfortable and adoring of each other. My sense is that they're quite a happy, content couple," states Rosenberg.

Madonna is said to have been working too hard lately and some say that the singer might even be sick because of not eating properly in order to loose weight. That is why she didn't appear to take her award at the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes last week. The diva's new single, "Sorry" follows the big hit that "Hung up" became in such short time.
