Pop singer Madonna has recently revealed, during an interview for the MTV documentary "I'm Going to Tell You A Secret, that she nearly split up with her husband Guy Ritchie.

Madonna, who married director Guy Ritchie on 22 December 2000 at Skibo Castle in Scotland, confessed that she and Guy are different characters. She likes to solve the problems as they appear, while Ritchie prefers time to consider a problem before discussing it with her.

On one occasion she was so angry with him she could not speak to him for 24-hours and cancelled a couple scheduled trip to Ireland.
"I got married for all the wrong reasons. My husband did not turn out to be everything I imagined him to be. I just wanted to end everything", Mrs. Ritchie revealed.

"There's no such thing as the perfect soulmate", Madonna added. "Your soulmate is the person that pushes all your buttons - p****s you off on a regular basis. It's not easy having a good marriage but I don't want easy. I thank God every day that I married a man who made me think. That's my definition of true love."
