Late last week, rumor took over the Internet and the media that singer Madonna, now completely smitten with her model boyfriend Jesus Luz, had decided to make some sort of commitment to him by means of a special Kabbalah ceremony. Although she did not go into specific details, Madonna herself has shot down the report as nothing but pure speculation, several media outlets are reporting.

“This is completely and totally not true.” a statement coming from the singer’s camp reads. According to the official line, the interview that we were telling you about a couple of days ago, the one that Jesus’ own father gave to a Brazilian newspaper confirming his son was about to become Mr. Madonna, as some named him, never happened, therefore the entire “wedding” story was pure fabrication.

As reported a short while ago, Mr. Luz spoke to Quem magazine, saying that, for all he knew, his son was about to take his relationship with the singer a step further by being married to her in a Kabbalah ceremony. Mr. Luz was not able to offer more details on the ceremony at the time, but he did seem pretty certain that it would happen – and for all the right reasons, he insisted. Jesus and Madonna shared a deep understanding and love, while he was also very happy with her children, so making this step seemed like the natural choice at the time.

“My understanding is that this is just a consequence of what is happening. He is already living with her. I don’t know if there will be an actual wedding. From what I have read there could be a sort of ritual, but I don’t know Kabbalah... to know if it’s valid and legal.” Jesus’ father was sharing just a couple of days ago. If one were to believe Madonna’s rep, the interview in itself never took place, so the question of whether the ceremony would be legally valid is no longer of relevance.

As fans must remember, Madonna first met Jesus when shooting for a W Magazine photo spread. The two bonded almost instantly, and kept in contact as the singer continued with her tour. Weeks later, Luz abandoned his modeling gigs in Brazil and moved to New York to be closer to the star – as they started appearing together in public places, it became clear that they shared more than just a close friendship. The romance seemed to have come to an end before Madonna applied for the adoption of a Malawian baby girl, but the two are now definitely back together, reports have it.
