14 DAY TRIAL // Coming to prove nay-sayers wrong, Madonna and Jesus Luz seem to have passed the test of time and have been together for about nine months. Things are serious between the singer and the much-younger model, and their relationship is stronger than ever – in fact, it is so strong, the two have finally made the decision to get married by the end of this year, biographer Randy Taraborrelli says for Hello! magazine.
Rumors early in the relationship had it that either Madonna was using Luz to generate publicity by showing that she could still get a much younger man to be interested in her or that he was using her to make a name for himself in the fashion industry, because nothing helped propel a career more than fame by association. Taraborrelli is now saying that neither is accurate and the two are very much in love, so much so that they have decided to be husband and wife by the time 2009 is over.
“The pop queen has been dating Jesus since January and it is thought the pair may marry before the end of the year. Madonna is crazy about Jesus and has been telling close friends and family that ‘I could definitely see myself marrying him. Yes, it’s definitely on the table.’ The pop star is said to want yet another lavish ceremony. ‘She knows that’s what Jesus wants,’ said one of her relatives. ‘She has a lot of wonderful memories of both of her weddings. She doesn’t want to slip off and do it quietly. She definitely wants a big and rather fantastic affair.’” Taraborrelli explains for the magazine.
All the while they’ve been dating, Luz has come to learn and accept that Madonna is extremely self-involved and a bit of a control freak, the biographer further claims. Not that this bothers him in the least, though, since he has no problem with having her at the steering wheel of their life as a couple. Respect, love, understanding and amazing chemistry is what makes of Madonna and Jesus Luz a genuine power couple, Taraborrelli insists, which is why the decision to marry shouldn’t take by surprise those who know them well.
“He respects her, that’s number one. He has learned so much from her. He’s amazed at how well-rounded she is, the way she juggles her career with her life as a mother, for instance. He understands that she’s self-involved, too.” a friend of the two tells the biographer. At the same time, Madonna is believed to have told friends how crazy she is about Jesus. “He’s so sweet. He checks in with me all the time. I probably should do the same, but you know me. I think he gets it now that I’m a little – shall we say – self-involved.” Madonna has said.
