Madonna Says Sorry to Australia

Recently, Australian fans had to face a real disappointment as rumors that 'Confessions on a Dance Floor' would skip them turned out to be true. Yesterday, the Queen of Pop posted an announcement on her website, apologizing to them for not being able to perform live in Australia.

'Please forgive me. I really did hope and expect to come to Australia during the Confessions Tour and asked my managers to try to include some shows there. I have fond memories from previous tours'.

The Queen might have forgotten, but her fans surely haven't. The 'previous tours' she is referring to is actually just one, back in 1993, when she went on the road with The Girlie Tour.

The reason behind the decision seems to be the fact that Madonna is a very good mother and is permanently thinking of her kids' education.

'We looked into going from Japan to Australia and ending the show there but I have to get my kids back into school in England and they are, as you can understand, my most important priority'. But that doesn't mean that a future performance on the Australian land is not at all possible.

'The most important thing to remember is that I'm not retiring anytime soon and I am gonna get to Australia as soon as I can', Madonna ended her message to her neglected fans. The European part of the tour kicks off on July 30 in Cardiff, Wales.

I really love Madonna heaps I have huge respect and admiration for her achievements She is a truly talented gorgeous entertainer who I listen to everyday. I am a devoted fan to say the least. I really hope she can make it down under It would be great to see her for real. She deserves all she has worked so hard for. What matters is the music it's content it's message to see her up close on stage would be great. Be patient and she will come through. Madonna I love you
