Madonna Says Lady Gaga Ripped Her Off

When Lady Gaga's “Born This Way” came out, there was a lot of talk about how it resembled Madonna's “Express Yourself.” Madonna is now reigniting the debate with a not too subtle diss at Gaga.

Though the “Fame” hitmaker denied she turned to Her Madgesty for inspiration (let alone shamelessly rip her off), Madonna's fans were not convinced by her arguments.

Madonna is not doing anything to let the dust settle either, saying for The Daily Beast in a new interview that she too saw the resemblance.

“I thought, this is a wonderful way to redo my song ('Express Yourself'). I mean, I recognized the chord changes. I thought it was… interesting,” Madonna says of Gaga's “Born This Way.”
