Madonna likes to create a stir whenever she can but, this time, she might have crossed the line. Booked to perform in Paris, France to 2,700 fans, she only sang for about 30 minutes and talked for another 15, prompting boos and insults from the audience, various reports online say.

To make matters even worse, those fans had also paid upwards of €80 ($98.3) for a ticket, with the highest priced seats going for €280 ($344) – or even €1,000 ($1,229) on the black market.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that Madonna walked on stage at about 10.15 in the evening, and was done performing by 11 o'clock, leaving fans perplexed and angry at what they had just seen.

She didn't perform for 45 minutes straight either, taking about a quarter of an hour to explain why she had included a photo of politician Marine Le Pen with a swastika in her previous shows, which angered the fans even more.

By the time the curtain fell (and never got back up again), they were already booing and calling her names, nearly causing a riot at the L'Olympia hall where the exclusive concert took place.

“The concert venue was filled mostly with big Madonna fans since the tickets for the show were available only to members of her official fan club before being released for sale to the general public. The concert was broadcast live via YouTube,” THR says.

“Hundreds of fans gathered outside several hours before the show to fill the Olympia’s 2,700 seats, and many slept on the streets overnight from Wednesday to Thursday. After the show, many fans gathered in the streets in front of the theater and yelled 'remboursez! Remboursez!' ('give us our money back!'),” the same media outlet notes.

Reaction on Twitter was just as severe, with upset fans writing that they were sorry they had spent this kind of money on a show that wasn't even worth it, especially considering that others were able to see it live online without paying a dime.

Not only did Madonna and her people charge them way too much, but she also showed disrespect by performing a mere half an hour and chattering away another 15 minutes: they did not come to her show to hear her speak but sing.

Below are some of their reactions to Madonna's show (compiled from THR and the Daily Mail):

“280€ for a seat + 10 minutes of a speech + 40 minutes of a show + 2 days of camping in front of the #Olympa = #Madonna #MDNA #Paris #thatsucks”

“#Madonna 45min/250€ vs @springsteen 3h40/65€... what’s the better deal, there’s nothing left to say! #MDNAOlympia.”

“How much does it cost to see Madonna at l’Olympia? It’s 6.3 euros per minute!”

“The show was OK but it only last 45 minutes, and she spent 15 minutes of that wittering on about politics and tolerance. We didn’t come to hear that. It was a concert, not the United Nations.” Until the time of writing, Madonna and her camp proved unavailable for comment. Below is a video of the star's closing number at the show.
