14 DAY TRIAL // Madonna has had it with the Elton John feud that has been going on for years. Instead of responding to his most recent scathing comment in a similar fashion, the Queen of Pop is extending a proverbial olive branch.
Or is she?
In a concert in Nice the other day, Madonna dedicated a song to Elton John, saying she “forgave” him and hinting that she wanted to be the better person by putting an end to the fighting.
“I'd like to dedicate this next song to a Mr. Elton John. Yes, I know he's a big fan of it – and I know he's a big fan of mine. And you know what? I forgive him. You gotta start somewhere,” she said, as the video above will show.
As it happens, though, the song is question was “Masterpiece” off the “W.E.” OST, which actually further deepened the gap between the two at the Golden Globes, when Madonna beat Elton with it.
That is to say, she dedicated to him a song she knew for a fact he hated. Talk about a sense of humor.
