Madonna and Justin Timberlake working on songs together - are we quite sure the world is not coming to an end? And apparently it's a lot more than two famous singers getting together, sitting at the same desk and making commercial pop music. Justin Timberlake and Madonna, ladies and gentlemen, worked together on Madonna's new single "4 Minutes to Save the World" and it seems that for the pop queen at least, the much younger Justin was a revelation. And no, I'm not talking in terms of sex, although a steamy Madonna - Justin romance would definitely qualify as "filled with revelations".
How did these two artists end up working together, you may ask yourselves? Well, apparently they found that they have... ahem, many things in common not only from a professional, but also from a personal point of view. I am not too surprised, since we are talking about Madonna, the woman who caused a tremendous amount of controversy throughout her prodigious career and whose personal experiences could probably fill a few volumes. In an interview, the singer openly stated that her collaboration with Justin was very fruitful and intense. "We kind of had psychoanalytic sessions whenever we wrote songs. We'd sit down and start talking about situations. And then we'd start talking about issues or problems or relationships with people", Madonna tells Interview magazine. "That was the only way, because you know, writing together with somebody is very intimate", she adds. I wonder which one of the unlikely duo eventually confessed they wanted to sleep with their own mother?
Well, I don't know about you, but to me that sounds like a metaphor for some serious sex - or at least a few cocaine and ecstasy snorting sessions. I mean really, "psychoanalytic sessions"? Justin wouldn't know what a psychoanalytic session is if he sat on it. But Madonna seems to disagree - since she also added that Justin "is open and he's got talent. He's a songwriter. I haven't worked with a lot of songwriters where I'm instantly connected and start riffing and playing with the rhythm of the words. He's as interested in rhythm of words as the meaning of words. I enjoyed that process with him". Honestly, I can't help wondering what Justin's reaction is to all this - and I must confess, I honestly regret that Madonna is not at least 10 years younger. Maybe if she had met Justin five or six years ago, things would have taken a very different route. Or at least that's what I think.
