Video game developer EA Sports announces that it is planning to add a number of new features to Madden NFL 25 on the Xbox One via SmartGlass, giving players other ways to handle their defensive setups.

The entire concept is called CoachGlass and will extract data from all the matches that are recorded on the Microsoft next-gen console in order to give players an overview of how their opponents can perform and decide on the best way to deal with their tactics.

The team at EA Sports explains in the announcement that gamers can access "offensive tendencies, personnel groupings, major weapons, and suggests defensive plays designed to counter the offense’s biggest strengths."

Players of Madden NFL 25 will also be able to browse previous plays called in a match and, in cooperative modes, one of the involved gamers can use SmartGlass to become the defensive coordinator.

Madden NFL 25 will be offered on the Xbox One on November 19.
