The developers working on Madden NFL 16 have only shown a short teaser for the American football simulation so far, and a new set of newly revealed screenshots are set to deliver some more details about the Be the Playmaker feature.

The battle for air supremacy is the core elements that EA Sports wants to focus on, with new game mechanics that will emphasize how the wide receiver and the defensive back interact.

The official reveal states, "Place the ball where only your receiver can get it with body-relative throws including high-point, low-point, back-shoulder, and the ever-popular touch pass."

Madden NFL 16 will aim to deliver realism in the interactions between players on the field, especially when they battle for possession one on one.

EA Sports is also improving the way the game simulates time or day and lighting in order to make player likenesses more believable.

Madden NFL 16 will also include new player spotlight moments, dynamic goals and achievements and better use for on-field cameras.

The motion capture tech used to bring real-world players into the game has also been improved and is now also used for coaches and referees.

Be the Playmaker is just one of the elements of the American football sim that the developers are trying to improve, and more info about the rest will be arriving in the coming weeks.

Madden NFL 16 arrives on August 25

The new game will be delivered on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, with Legacy Editions set to be offered to those who have an older home console.

Those who are interested in placing a pre-order for Madden NFL 16 will be able to get an Ultimate Team-focused extra content package.

There are 10 Pro Packs and one Playmaker Pack that gamers can use to build their initial lineup and gain an advantage over other players.

EA Sports is also offering a Deluxe Edition of Madden NFL 16, which will include 36 packs delivered over a 12-week period and the aforementioned playmaker content.

Odell Beckham Jr. is the athlete that will grace the cover of the game regardless of version.

So far, the studio has not talked about the kinds of gameplay changes that it will make to the Ultimate Team mode.
