The development team at EA Sports working on Madden NFL 16 is announcing that it is bringing back the EA Trax feature to the music of the game and that it has selected a solid line-up of bands that will lend their songs to the American football sim.

The company is not yet ready to talk about individual names, but it says that it wants to continue to mix established artists, who are providing their new singles, with up and coming acts that will gain recognition in the coming months and years.

Madden NFL 16 will mix genres and approaches, and a full reveal of the included bands will take place later in the year.

Steve Schnur, the worldwide executive of music and marketing at Electronic Arts, states, "They’ve given unparalleled exposure to new artists, and brought Platinum acts to all-new levels. EA Trax is proud to be delivering a new soundtrack complete with national announcement events, and we look forward to once again moving music forward for millions of gamers and fans."

EA Sports is also collaborating with Spotify to introduce a special Madden NFL 16 channel, which is available right now and offers some of the classic tracks from the history of the franchise.

The playlist will be updated when the sim is released, and a Madden Music Mondays event will deliver new songs and artists.

The development team is also introducing a pre-order exclusive for GameStop, which gives gamers 15 dollars (13 Euro) worth of Live Nation Concert Cash, which can be used for a range of events and merchandise.

Madden NFL 16 launches on August 25

The new title will be offered on the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony, and the developers and fans have already selected Odell Beckham Jr. as the cover athlete for the experience.

Madden NFL 16 is designed to deliver both improved visuals and gameplay that has been expanded in interesting ways, with the air duels the main focus for players.

EA Sports has announced that it is introducing a range of changes to the Connected Franchise mode, and more details about the Ultimate Team experience are set to be revealed soon.

The company also claims that the coming sim will offer a better Artificial Intelligence and will feature significantly improved motion capture.
