Video game developer EA Sports announces that it plans to remove Ray Rice, the running back of the Baltimore Ravens, from the in-game roster of his team following his indefinite real-world suspension.

The information comes from the official Twitter feed of the franchise, and it seems that the decision was made in order to make sure that the behavior of the athlete, who has spit in the face of his wife and hit her, is not seen as being condoned by the game creators.

The National Football League in the United States seems determined to make an example of the player, who will be unable to find a contract with any major team in the future, which probably means that he will basically also disappear from the EA Sports video game.

The roster update will be delivered before the end of the week, so fans of the Baltimore Ravens still have a few days to use Ray Rice in their games.

Madden NFL 15 is offered on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and last-gen consoles.

The game is designed using a new engine, has a bigger focus on defensive play and introduces a range of new choices for gamers when it comes to the choice of the plays that they want to run.
