The development team at EA Sports in association with Heat and Google are announcing the launch of a new Madden NFL 15 service called the Giferator, which is designed, as the name implies, to allow gamers to create a stream of GIFs based on images taken from the game.

Using the official site of the new service, gamers can create a live stream of moving images that allow players to celebrate victories for their favorite teams and to challenge rivals to actual simulated American football matches even as real world games are running.

EA Sports has used screenshots taken from Madden NFL 15 to populate the site and allows players to tweak the GIFs in interesting ways in order to express their own feelings.

Original designs can also be created, with the gamer choosing the team, the player he wants featured, the background and the headline, and the development team says that as matches progress they will include content for all the 32 teams that are part of the National Football League.

All content created will appear on the Giferator Madden NFL 15 official site and on other sports- and gaming-related applications and web destinations.

EA Sports says in the official announcement, “Why simply Tweet at someone that you’re up for a game when you can create an animated GIF showing exactly how you’re going to beat them? With new content dynamically updating on the Giferator throughout the NFL season it shouldn’t be too hard to come up with a fresh challenge every week.”

The development team is aiming to promote Madden NFL 15 by linking the game to one of the most successful internet trends of the last few years, and all fans of the series will be able to see the Giferator in action starting Friday, September 5.

The American football sim can be played on the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PlayStation 4 from Sony and last-gen consoles.

Madden NFL 15 has a focus on the defensive and allows gamers who move and think fast to control players and attempt to blunt the offensive of their opponents before launching their own attacks.

The plays that gamers can run are based on suggestions from the player community, and the data delivers a stream of info on which fans can make their decisions.

There are also improvements to the Ultimate Team game mode, which offers goals and more ways to quickly assemble a winning line-up.
