For a mouse, its bite looks a lot worse than its bark

A weapon may only be as good as the warrior who wields it, but that didn't stop humanity from progressing from the wooden stick to the nuclear missile. So, it would only be natural that virtual warriors also pursue virtual-weapon perfection. When it comes to competitive gaming, everybody wants the best of the best, so things like performance peripherals and accessories are always in a high demand. Mice are the most popular PC controllers to receive constant additions to their family, and manufactures are always looking to create the next big thing in gaming mice.

And the newest addition to the high-tech mice family seems to come from Mad Catz. Its latest creation is the Cyborg gaming mouse and it looks about as incredible as its specs are. While the technical details are very impressive, the price is pretty steep, but, then again, we're talking about professional gear here, and we all know that quality comes with an astronomic price tag. Still, the simplest version of the Cyborg is still very accessible as far as prices go.

The mice go for anything between $49.99 and $129.99, depending on the performance you desire, as the dpi starts at 3,200 and tops at 5,600. The Cyborg features a lot of gadgets, buttons, wheels and it looks like there's even at least one jack connection built into the mouse. Mad Catz's boss, Darren Richardson, revealed that, “For the first time ever on a mouse, the key points of contact between the gamer's hand and the mouse are fully adjustable allowing it to be customized for any grip preference.”
