Macvide has updated its audio capturing conversion utility for Mac OS X, Macvide Audio Recorder, to version 2.1. Just like the last time, Macvide has only included maintenance tweaks. The software can be tried out for free in demo mode for as long as the user wants.

The Audio Recorder can convert audio files to formats such as mp3, mp4, amr, wma, mmf, aac, ac3, flac, mp2, helping bridge the gap between many audio standards. “Recording to a computer has never been easier,” says Macvide, adding that its audio recording app application “is ideal for recording voice or other audio that you can use in podcasts or other voice presentations, or to create an audio book.” As noted above, Macvide Audio Recorder supports popular audio formats for quick and easy recording of audio notes, messages and more. Using Macvide's solution, Mac owners can also record voice or music directly from a microphone or other external line-in input, and even record sounds that are being played by the Mac internally. For example, you can record a song or a podcast that iTunes, QuickTime or Flash are playing. Obviously, the sound output from your games can also be recorded. Streaming audio from the web is also a go for Macvide's sound recording app.
