Taiwanese company Max Xtreme Technology has just announced the new MX-KATANA 6Gb/s Series low-profile SATA3 SSD modules, on its official website.
These are low-profile SSDs with capacities ranging between 240 GB and 480 GB.
s are powered by SanForce’s SF2281 controller and come with the same technologies as all the other SandForce drives. The main characteristics of the MX-Katana drives are : Low-profile SATA 3.0 Interface MLC SSD Module

Capacity: 240GB (MXSSD3MKAT-240G) and 480GB (MXSSD3MKAT-480G)
Notice the fact that Mach Xtreme is pretty honest with its customers and states that the technical specifications are “up to.”

On the other hand, the MX-Katana shows SF2281-like performance and has up to 480 GB capacity in just a gum-packet size.
