They are build for affordability, not speed or raw capacity

Mach Xtreme has introduced some solid state drives for people who want reasonably fast storage but don't have a fortune to spend on it.

The MX-JET ULTRA Series, as they are called, have 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB capacities and speeds of up to 270 MB/s read and 170 MB/s write.

Meanwhile, the max I/O per second performance is of 15,000 IOPS and the cache memory is of 64 MB DDR2 on each.

Mach Xtreme chose MLC (multi-level cell) NAND Flash chips and was able to strike a MTBF of 1.5 million hours.

Furthermore, the BCH ECC engine offers data protection and the StaticDataRefresh boost reliability.

As for energy use, the power consumption is of 0.3W in standby and 2.3W during normal runtime.

Unfortunately, the company didn't give any prices.
