14 DAY TRIAL // iOS developer MacPhun promises to give away $5,000 in addition to Apple’s $10,000 (iTunes Gift Card), is the app that stops Apple’s 10 Billion countdown timer is their FX Photo Studio. If not, there’s still a chance to win 1,000 - downloading any photography app.
“They said Apple App Store is about to hit 10 billion downloads. That is a lot!” MacPhun says in a January 19th post. “Any guesses what the app will be?”
MacPhun promises an additional $5000 if its FX Photo Studio becomes the 10 billionth app downloaded, which means that the lucky iPhone / iPod touch / iPad user can expect to get a total of $15,000.

“If we get lucky and FX Photo Studio is the one to hit the milestone, we will give additional $5000 iTunes Gift Card to the person, who downloaded the app,” the developer proudly states.
According to MacPhun, “This makes a total of $15 000 just for getting an app on your iOS device. Someone is going to have a great day very soon,” the developer says.
The developer also wants to support photography fans everywhere, therefore, it decided to award $1,000 if the 10 billionth download is any photography app (not necessarily from its own portfolio)
“But wait, what if another photo app becomes the 10th billion? Shouldn’t we support public interest to photography apps? I bet we should,” MacPhun writes.
“Therefore, we promise a $1000 iTunes gift card, if the 10th billion app downloaded from the Apple App Store, is any app from the photography category,” it explains.
