Although its latest iterations were released a couple of months ago, the MacBook Air remains quite a hot item, and thus prone to theft, this being exactly the reason why MacLocks introduced a special security accessory designed specifically for this ultraportable computing system, namely the MacBook Air Lock.

The truth of the matter is that the world we live in today is not exactly very safe (in fact, certain parts of it are exactly the opposite of it), and for this reason, taking certain safety precautions, especially as far as one's expensive electronic accessories are concerned, is always a good idea.

This is exactly the reason why MacLocks released a whole range of security accessories for the Apple notebooks, including here their aforementioned super-thin model.

The main idea behind this solution is to offer both an enhanced level of protection against accidental physical threats (such as scratches, bumps, etc.) and protection against theft, while also keeping everything simple for the end-users.

So, basically, the MacBook Air Lock is a protective cover for Apple's ultra-portable computing system, that, however, comes with an integrated built-in security slot that can accommodate any of the standard cable locks sold on the market.

In this way, users will be able to safely and securely attach their portable system to fixed object (table, handrail, etc.), thus deterring (in a very visible manner) any theft attempts (unless the thief doesn't have a problem with getting a seriously damaged notebook).

Both the 11-inch and 13-inch versions of the MacBook Air Lock are available as we speak for the same price point, namely 75 US dollars, which, to be perfectly honest, is not even that high a sum, especially taking into account just how much one has to pay in order to get their hands on one of these ultra-light, attractive portable computing systems in the first place.
