According to a French site so it would seem

The commotion caused by Apple's migration towards Intel was followed by another controversy related to the concept of a Mac OS X running on x86 systems.

Many IT experts claimed that once Apple's system is studied by programmers, it will be just a matter of time before someone cracks Mac OS X and adapts it for PC.

A week ago, CNET and ADC said that Apple allegedly included TPM chips into the PowerMac systems belonging to the development kit, which were received by software developers. This TPM chip is allegedly part of Apple's strategy to prevent the Mac OS X from running on other systems.

A French site for Macs, http://www.hardmac.com/niouzcontenu.php?date=2005-08-10, shows how somebody has "persuaded" Mac OS X to run on a regular notebook, a Mitac 8050D fitted with one Pentium M running at 1.67 GHz.

The site contains two clips which show a Mac OS X booting on this system.

The same site features another article claiming that several sources have confirmed that Mac OS X can run on PCs fitted with Intel processors. Could this be just well-devised joke?
