Mac OS X 10.5.3 Build 9D27 Documentation Disclosed

- Devs to continue their focus on a list of 12 core components

By: Filip Truta, Apple News Editor

Reportedly, on Monday, Apple has seeded another Mac OS X 10.5.3 build to its developers, build 9D27 to be more precise. The build, accompanied by documentation, lists (shockingly...) no known issues and asks eagle-eyed devs to continue their focus on a list of 12 core system components, according to people familiar with the distribution, AppleInsider is reporting.

"Continuing to plug away at the next maintenance and security
update to its Leopard operating system, Apple on Monday is reported to have seeded Mac OS X 10.5.3 build 9D27 to its vast developer community," the post reads.

Similar to recent Mac OS X 10.5.3 builds, Mac OS X 10.5.3 build 9D27 addresses nearly a dozen issues, bringing the total number of bug fixes for the Mac OS X 10.5.3 Update to around 215. Highlights, according to the same source, include tweaks to server certificates, printer plugins, Directory Server, and Apple File Server.

Mac OS X 10.5.3 Build 9D23 told devs to focus on areas such as Active Directory/Directory Services, AFP, AirPort, Audio, Back To My Mac, Dock, Finder, Graphics, Installer, Mail, Spaces, Time Machine.

As far as changes ware concerned, new issues fixed in this massive seed included: 802.1x Login Window profile can now be deleted; issue with Safari bookmarks and .Mac Mail account resolved; fixed leak issue with Finder accessibility windows; issue with mounted Boot Camp volumes is now fixed; fixed a problem with Mobile Account login pane and MCX Client; fix to mDNSResponder; fix to AFP Server; fix to VoiceOver and static text.

Mac OS X 10.5.3 build 9D27 contains improvements and fixes with server certificates, printer plugins, Directory Server, and Apple File Server.

As noted before, rapid successions of build releases indicate that Apple's latest Mac OS X maintenance update is just around the corner. It is being speculated that Mac users may see the update popping up on their computers as soon as this month, with previous forecasts hinting at an April release.
