Developers Pqube and Milestone have announced that MXGP: The Official Motocross Videogame will launch in the UK on March 28, 2014.

MXGP aims to authentically simulate all the excitement, the incredible jumps, the mud, the dirt and the brutal competition of the amazing sport.

It is the official game of the World Motocross Championship, and the best way to experience the dirt bike world aside from actually taking part in a real competition.

The game features all the teams, riders, bikes and rules of the official MXGP 2013 calendar, and comes with a redesigned career mode. A new generation of riders has emerged, seeking to claim the World Championship title, one adrenaline-jacked race at a time.

“This new rebranding brings a host of new features that we will unveil during the coming months – additions we're sure Motocross fans will be ecstatic about. Once again MXGP will be characterized by Milestone's dedication to delivering a realistic simulation that's loyal to the license and to its fans,” Milestone Marketing and Sales Director Luisa Bixio stated during the announcement.

The true-to-life approach the developers followed will surely please the sport's fans, as many were somewhat displeased with other titles having a rather arcade feeling, and being less dedicated to offering a realistic simulation of the motocross championship series.

“Motocross is a fantastic sport; spectacular, extreme and exhilarating – perfect material racing game. This new installment will mirror the reality of the sport like never before, allowing players to truly experience the unique magic of MXGP,” said Giuseppe Lungo, president of Youthstream, the company that organizes all the world championship motocross events.

MXGP: The Official Motocross Videogame will be available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360 and Windows PC platforms.
