One of the most downloaded video players for Android devices, MX Player has just been updated with support for more features and more improvements.

Developed by J2 Interactive, the latest version of MX Player comes with support for double tap gesture (toggle play/pause), as well as support for Samsung multi-window feature.

The update also adds a new option to hide position text while seeking video and changes Kids Lock behavior so when kids lock is in use it does not exit playback screen even if last video is finished.

Some bugs and issues have been addressed as well, such as the ones detailed below:

- Fixed h/w+ playback failure on Google Nexus 10;
- Fixed dialogs not to hide behind main window in Android 4.2.

MX Player 1.7.11 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.
