The slate will be available from July for only $149

Alongside the two new cheap Android tablets announced at Mobile World Congress 2015, Lenovo announced an affordable Windows 8.1 slate as well.

The IdeaPad MIIX 300 will be available for purchase from July for prices starting at $149.The tablet with be available via major retailers around the world.

Spec-wise, the tablet is equipped with an Intel Atom processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.

Lenovo's IdeaPad MIIX 300 sports an 8-inch WUXGA IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 1280 x 800 pixels resolution and 300 nits brightness.

According to Lenovo, the slate offers both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, but there's no 3G connectivity option.

The Chinese company does not mention what battery powers the IdeaPad MIIX 300, but it confirms up to 7 hours of continuous usage time. It's also worth mentioning that the tablet measures 130 x 215 x 9.3mm and weighs 360g (battery included).

Among the key features of the tablet, Lenovo highlights the free one-year subscription to Office 360, Windows 8.1 with Bing and the affordable price tag.

Lenovo also states that the technical specification of the IdeaPad MIIX 300 may vary by region, so the price might be higher in some countries.
