14 DAY TRIAL // The world's largest laptop and notebook manufacturer and one of the major handset makers, Lenovo has just announced the upcoming availability of two new Android tablets: Tab 2 A10-70 and Tab 2 A8.
Before getting too excited let's say that the first to come on the market will be Tab 2 A10, which will go on sale in April for prices starting at $199 for Wi-Fi models and $279 for LTE variants.
Lenovo Tab 2 A8 will be available from June for prices starting at $129 for the Wi-Fi models and $179 for the LTE version.
Now let's see what these cheap tablets have to offer in term of specs. Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 will ship with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box. According to Lenovo, the tablet will receive Android 5.0 Lollipop in June.
The slate will be equipped with a quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.
The Tab 2 A10-A70 sports a large 10.1-inch full HD (1080p) IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display and multi-speaker sound bar with Dolby Atmos.
The slate will also come with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a secondary 5-megapixel camera in the front. Lenovo's cheap tablet will be powered by a 7,000 mAh battery, which is rated for up to 15.5 hours of continuous usage.
Connectivity-wise, the tablet offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and optional 4G LTE support. Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 measures 171 x 247 x 8.9mm and weighs 509g (battery included).

Next in line, Lenovo Tab 2 A8 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. It will sport an 8-inch HD (720p) IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display.
The slate will be powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB or 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
Lenovo Tab 2 A8 comes with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel fixed-focus camera in the front. It packs the same range of connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and optional 4G LTE support. Dual-SIM is included as well.
The Tab 2 A8 measures 125 x 210 x 8.9mm and weighs 360g (battery included). Speaking of which, the slate is powered by a 4290mAh battery, which is rated for up to 8 hours of continuous usage.
