14 DAY TRIAL // South Korean company LG isn't retiring its smartwatch business even after timid sales. With two weeks ahead of Mobile World Congress 2015, LG announced the upcoming availability of its third smartwatch, the LG Watch Urbane.
Unlike the previous two smartwatches launched by LG, the Urbane is entirely made of metal. According to LG, the all-metal luxury Android Wear device “is designed for a sophisticated and cosmopolitan wearer.”
Following the success of the Motorola 360 mostly due to its circular design, LG Watch Urbane has a similar form factor and a plastic OLED (P-OLED) display.
The South Korean company also claims that while LG Watch R was specifically designed with the active user in mind, the LG Watch Urbane has a more formal with a thinner profile, which they say makes it perfect for either men or women.
Spec-wise, LG Watch Urbane sports a small 1.3-inch P-OLED display that supports 320 x 320 pixels resolution (245ppi) and a 410 mAh battery.
The smartwatch is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory. LG Urban runs Android Wear and is both dust and water resistant.

It also features 9-axis sensors: gyro, accelerometer, compass, barometer, PPG (heart rate sensor). LG Urban will be available in gold and silver color options. The smartwatch measures 45.5 x 52.2 x 10.9mm and will be fully compatible with smartphones powered by Android 4.3 and up.
