Huawei introduced the MediaPad X1 tablet back at MWC 2014, where it pleasantly surprised everyone with a sleek 7-inch device that also bundled phone calling capabilities.
It appears the device maker is ready to roll out a successor for the tablet it introduced a year back, which will be called the Honor X2 this time (as seen at Gizmo China).
We don’t know yet which form factor will be updated by Huawei with this model, but we dare speculate that the device will retain a 7-inch display.
The other specs, however, have leaked online so we can tell you the Honor X2 as a 1080p display, octa-core Kirin 925 chipset and 3GB of RAM, which is on par with what some of this spring’s smartphone flagships will bring to the table.
We’re also shown a few images of the device, so we get to take a sneak peek at the tablet’s slim aluminum unibody.
There are few things that have been left out, as we don’t know anything yet about camera, battery or internal storage, but come MWC 2015 we will know more for sure.
The Huawei Honor X2 will be sold for around $320 / €276, which is a decent enough price for a sleek tablet such as this one.
