Huawei hasn’t managed to make an everlasting impression on the tablet market so far

As MWC 2014 draws closer and closer, brand vendors are starting to issue media invites for show and the press is avidly speculating on which new devices will end up on display at the conference.

According to the WSJ blog, Huwaei is gearing up to show two new tablets at the event. Not much information is given about them, as the report goes on to mention the company will also take the opportunity to launch a smartwatch and a smartphone in Barcelona.

However, I could speculate that one of the two tablets might be the 7-inch MediaPad X1 7.0, which has been said to be an iPad mini killer of sorts. The device is expected to boast a 1920 x 1200 resolution and arrive with a Huawei HiSilicon 910 Kirin quad-core ARM Cortex A9 SoC, clocked at 1.6GHz combined with 2GB of RAM.

The other tablet device will probably be a 10-incher, although the slate has failed to leave a trail online, so far. We will just have to wait and see.
