Judging by the recent information circling around the web, Huawei is planning to focus more on tablets this year, by launching new models as soon as MWC 2014.

The company has already showcased a couple of slates at CES 2014, but they were pretty much overshadowed by Samsung’s batch of premium slates and ASUS’ dual-boot 4-modal hybrid, the Transformer Book Duet.

Well, Huawei doesn't want to repeat the Las Vegas scenario in Barcelona, so the company is planning to reveal something special, when tablets are concerned.

We have already told you, Huwaei is expected to launch two new tablet designs, one of them said to be the MediaPad M1 8.0, while the other models is unknown, at the moment.

Now the device maker has posted a teaser ahead of the event, which shows a person talking to a smartphone reminiscent of the iPhone. The voice answering back is unmistakably trying to mimic Siri’s, but with a pronounced Asian robotic accent.

From the video, we find out that Huawei is indeed planning to launch two tablets, one of them is said to be a multimedia tablet capable of delivering the ultimate entertainment experience. More than that, this device will be able to support the next-gen LTE networks.

The other tablet is said to come bundling a beautiful slim design and a huge battery that will allow owners to use the slate for days.

Judging from what we know so far, the first tablet could be the rumored iPad mini-killer, the MediaPad X1 7.0 expected to come bundling a full HD resolution display and will draw power from a new Huawei HiSilicon 910 “Kirin” quad-core ARM Cortex A9 SoC clocked at 1.6GHz.

The second model the video talks about could be the MediaPad M1 8.0 which comes with more average specifications, but it could still boast a thin frame and chunky design (so far we have no info about these particular details).

As we wait to see what Huawei will end up unveiling, take a look at the promo video below.
