All those disappointed with the distinct lack of hands-on photos in our coverage of Sony's Xperia Tablet Z now have a reason to rejoice.

For those who might have missed it, Sony officially introduced the tablet yesterday (February 25, 2013).

One of our colleagues is at the event in Barcelona, Spain, taking photos of the most interesting things there.

The Tablet Z happened to fall in that category. Below is the gallery of hands-on photos taken during the past few hours.

Xperia Tablet Z is a 10.1-inch device with 2 GB of RAM, a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU (1.5 GHz) and 16 GB or 32 GB of built-in NAND Flash storage space. Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean is installed on it.

Sales will begin in May, for the price of $499 / 499 Euro (16 GB), $599 / 599 Euro (32 GB). A 64 GB slate will eventually debut as well.
