While most users are looking to purchase smartphones that are thin and elegant, there are also those who need a tougher, rugged device for their daily business, and the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 was designed specifically for them.

Deemed as a great companion for outdoor activities, the new device sports a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen display, while packing a 1GHz dual-core processor inside, paired with 1GB of RAM.

It also features a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with auto-focus and video recording capabilities, a VGA camera on the front to serve video chatting purposes when needed, and a 1,700 mAh battery inside, for extended usage.

Running under Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system, the smartphone was also designed to withstand hostile environmental conditions, while still providing users with the modern smartphone experience that they would like to receive from their devices.
