Samsung might be a leader at the high end of the smartphone market, but it seems that it is not entirely happy with this, and that it is also aiming at grabbing a larger chunk of the entry-level segment, with the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Fame designed to help it achieve that.

The company brought the new smartphone to the MWC 2013, where we caught a glimpse of it, admiring its compact, yet appealing design.

The handset sports a 3.5-inch HVGA (480x320 pixels) touchscreen display, a 1GHz processor inside, 512MB of RAM, a 1,300 mAh battery, and 4GB of internal memory.

Furthermore, it sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, front camera for video calling, and Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system on top, all inside a highly affordable device aimed at users on a budget. It also comes in dual-SIM flavors.
