Defense industry contractor General Dynamics is demoing its new GD Protected software at the Mobile World Congress 2013. On this occasion, the product has been installed on an LG Optimus 3D Max, but the company promises to bring it to Samsung Galaxy S III as well.

GD Protected incorporates a number of technologies, including the OKL4 Microvisor, in order to deliver highly secure mobile devices to enterprises, and military and government agencies.

The best thing about GD Protect is that it comes with dual-persona security, a feature which allows users to seamlessly switch between personal and enterprise operating modes, Engadget reports.

While the personal side offers full freedom and privacy, the enterprise (trusted) persona delivers a high level of protection.

On each of these personas, users can host independent virtual machines for operating systems and software stacks.

And since nowadays an efficient level of security is obtained by using multiple layers, it’s worth noting that there are two layers of encryption to separate the processing of data in transit and data at rest. An additional layer of security is offered by Fixmo.
