Earlier this year, Sony took over Sony Ericsson, and turned the mobile phone maker into its mobile division.
However, the company did continue on the line Sony Ericsson had been moving, and released some new devices in the Xperia lineup
, the low-end Xperia U included.
The new mobile phone was made official on Sunday at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where we got the chance to shoot a few live photos of it.
Although it will be released as an affordable handset, the Xperia U
still has a lot to offer, especially in terms of design.
Sony decided to include the new mobile phone in its Xperia NXT series, thus packing it with the same looks as the Xperia S that was made official at the Consumer Electronics Show. The design includes a “transparent element” at the base of the phone.
