Just before this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics announced the launch of a new family of devices, the L-Style series.

Three handsets have been included in this lineup so far, namely the LG Optimus L7, LG Optimus L5 and LG Optimus L3. We managed to find all three of them on the floor at MWC 2012, and we have already offered you hands-on photos with the Optimus L7.

Now it’s high time we had a closer look at the Optimus L5 and Optimus L3 as well, while throwing in some hands-on photos from the event in Spain.

Both these phones were announced with Google’s Android operating system on board, with the L5 aimed at the mid-level market, and the L3 destined for the low-end segment.

Optimus L5 was made official with a 4.0-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 320 x 480 pixels resolution, and with an 800 MHz application processor inside.

Moreover, the new mobile phone packs HSDPA, HSUPA and WiFi connectivity capabilities, along with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi hotspot, NFC, GPS receiver and microUSB v2.0. It also includes a microSD memory card slot.

On the back, it sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, LED flash and support for video recording, complemented by a front camera for making video calls.

The smartphone will be launched in Black and White color flavors and should arrive on shelves sometime in the second quarter of the year.

LG Optimus L3 is a bit smaller, packing only a 3.2-inch touchscreen display (240 x 320 pixels). The phone features HSDPA, 3.6 Mbps, WiFi, Bluetooth and microUSB, GPS, and a microSD memory card slot.

On the back, it sports a 3.15-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, also capable of recording videos. The smartphone will be released in Black and White color flavors as well.
