With the multitude of new Android tablets announced at the 2011 Mobile Worlds Congress in Barcelona, developers are barely keeping up with the flow of technologically advanced devices.

Fortunately, the Dolphin team has recently showed they are working on a new version of its popular Dolphin Browser, especially tailored for tablets.

Fully compatible with the latest Android 3.0 Honeycomb mobile platform, Dolphin Browser for Pad has entered private beta stages and will be soon be available in the Android Market.

I had the chance to attend a demonstration of the Dolphin Browser for Pad at the developer's booth during the 2011 MWC and have also taken a couple of shots of the unannounced browser. From what I have seen this might as well be one of the best browsers available for Android tablets.

For those who are already familiar with the company's Dolphin Browser HD, the application has retained all the included features and added several that are making the browsing experience even more appealing.

Two new powerful features have been implemented in this version: built-in social networking and conversion of the traditional websites content into digital magazines.

The latter feature is especially useful for those who wish to read multimedia rich websites in a more simple and clean format that looks like a digital magazine. This translates in faster loading of the webpage and a cleaner reading experience.

Some of the highlights of the application include:

- Flip through the web: a new feature that enables users to flip through windows like a carousel. - Smart Social Interaction: built-in social sharing; - Powerful Add-ons: access to the developer's extensive add-ons data base; - Colorful Theme packs.

Other features of the application include: Gestures, Multi touch Pinch Zoom, Bookmarks Sync, Bookmarks Sorting, Data Backup Data Restore, Private Browsing, Cache to SD, Setup Wizard, Multi-tab browsing, RSS detection, App to SD for Froyo and File Uploading on Froyo.

Stay tuned for an extensive review of the Dolphin Browser for Pad, as the application leaves beta stages.
