Omnifone Ltd., global provider of unlimited music download services in partnership with major mobile operators, announced the launch of its MusicStation Max program,
currently showcased at the Mobile Wold Congress in Barcelona.

Together with important handset producers and operators, Omnifone will offer the MusicStation Max unlimited mobile music handset program to give users the ability to download, share or play an unlimited number of tracks, directly to their MusicStation Max pre-licensed handsets, all for free.

LG is the first manufacturer that will come with a MusicStation Max handset, due to hit the market in the first quarter of 2008. All of the new MusicStation Max devices will have touch-screen user interfaces and will support any 3G / HSDPA network. Consumers won't have to pay for the music they download, as the handsets are pre-licensed, meaning they only require you to sign up to a certain music, voice and data plan to have access to unlimited downloads for a period between 12 and 18 months.

"Consumers will come to expect unlimited mobile music downloads direct to their phone, whenever they want," said Rob Lewis, CEO of Omnifone. "The new MusicStation Max handsets will give consumers the ultimate music freedom; the ability to download, discover, play and share whatever music they want, wherever they are."

MusicStation Max also features a PC companion product that offers users a full, automatically-synchronized experience across both their handset and desktop computer. The changes made in tracks, playlists, artists, albums, friends or recommendations will be automatically synchronized. Moreover, a full back-up of the MusicStation Max experience is stored on the data network, in real time, in case of device failure, theft or loss.

"Unlike traditional music phones, consumers will have their entire MusicStation Max experience, including their playlists, friends and recommendations, backed up on the data network in case their device is ever lost, broken or stolen. Users will never lose their music experience ever again," added Rob Lewis.

"MusicStation Max gives LG the opportunity to deliver a handset that can download unlimited amounts of music, direct-to-mobile, over the mobile data network," said Dominique Oh, vice President of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
