LG KB620 is one of the latest handsets produced by the South Korean company, and its main purpose is to be a TV phone. The new device was showcased by LG at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain (11 - 14 February) and should be commercially available during the first half of 2008.

KB620 was showcased by LG along with other 12 handsets from its K-series, including the new KF700 flagship model, the innovative KF600 and the slim KF510 slider.

LG KB620 comes packed with an internal antenna, DVB-H technology (which - for those who don't know - is a superset of the DVB-T system for digital terrestrial television that brings extra features which make it suitable for mobile phones) and HSDPA connectivity for data transfer speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps. These features make LG KB620 a good phone for TV viewing, Web browsing and fast downloads or uploads.

In terms of technical specs, we don't have any other details about the new LG, but it probably has the features of a mid-end device. Anyway, we know that the handset has a clamshell form, comes in a red and black case and has a display that's rather small for a TV phone. Or at least this is how it looks in the available pictures. Recent high-end TV phones pack displays of around 3 inches, but this LG seems to have one of only 2.2 (maybe 2.4) inches.

There is no word about the retail price of LG KB620, nor about the markets that will get the handset first. However, it will surely be released in South Korea and Japan, where Mobile TV is very successful, with more than 40 million people watching TV programs on their phones. Hopefully, there will be other color variants besides the red one, as not everyone enjoys pretty-colored devices.
