Lady Gaga was the biggest winner at last night’s Europe Music Awards 2010, held this year at La Caja Magica in Madrid, Spain. The pop star picked up no less than 3 awards at the gala.

The EMAs’ were, just like in previous years, an all-A-lister event, with Katy Perry and Russell Brand making their first red carpet appearance as husband and wife, while several acts rocked the house with their fiery performances.

Though she cleaned up the awards, Lady Gaga was not in attendance, E! Online informs. Had she been there, she would have certainly made for a wicked appearance on the red carpet.

Which, of course, is not to say audiences didn’t get a taste of her unique fashion sense either way.

“While Lady Gaga didn’t grace us with her meat dress-donning presence at this particular awards show (she was performing in Budapest), the superstar singer did pop up via digital screen from Hungary in similarly wild outfits to accept all of her awards,” E! notes.

Gaga took home awards for Best Song (for “Bad Romance”), Best Female (not at all surprisingly) and Best Pop act. Katy Perry, Ke$ha and Justin Bieber also took home awards.

“Speaking of thrones, Eva Longoria Parker knocked Katy Perry off of her two-time hosting reign, kicking off the Sunday evening event in Madrid, Spain at the city’s Caja Magica venue with a pyro-infused intro,” E! says of the awards ceremony.

“Justin Bieber served as the ‘digital host’ for the night, chiming in throughout the show via pre-taped messages,” the publication further reports.

Aside from the fact that the EMAs marked Katy Perry and Russell Brand’s first red carpet ceremony as husband and wife, it was also the scene for Kanye West’s triumphant return to live performing.

“But it was Kanye West who surprised award goers before the event began. (No, not with some crazy antic.)” E! says. Kanye made a surprise appearance during 30 Seconds to Mars’ pre-show gig.
