Discouraged by the heavily criticism the cartoon got from the media, and especially from Industry Ears (an organization in charge of media surveillance), MTV may drop the 'Where My Dogs At?' project altogether.
The second episode, called 'Woofie Loves Snoop', has attracted so many outcries that it may prove dangerous to the entire series. Critics said that the images were degrading to women and racist, presenting a deformed perspective on what is supposed to be 'real Black culture'.
The episode showed a Snoop Dog-inspired character walking on the street with two black women, dressed in leather, walking on all four and restrained by leashes. The most incendiary scene is, though, the one in which one of them poops on the sidewalk and Snoop puts on a rubber glove to pick the excrements up.
The episode was labeled dehumanizing and many voices asked MTV not to ever air it again. It has also been suggested that the hour when the cartoon comes on is not appropriate for the younger audience (Sundays, at 12.30 P.M).

Yesterday, MTV maintained their position, defending the fact that the show, and the controversial episode in particular, is nothing but a crude satire aimed at today's society and celebrities. Jeff Castaneda, a spokesperson for MTV, had only this to say about the cartoon: 'We certainly do not condone Snoop's actions and the goal was to take aim at that incident for its insensitivity and outrageousness. Even one of the dogs, a main character on the show, states, "I find that degrading and I am a dog."'
Nevertheless, Castaneda refused to say whether the episode will be banned from airing or whether 'Where My Dogs At?' will make it to the second season.
Here is an episode of the cartoon, but not the one that spurred so much controversy, if you haven't had the chance to see it yet.
