The MTV Movie Awards 2014, held last night in Los Angeles, included a tribute for “Fast & Furious” actor Paul Walker, who died last November, but did not include one for Sir Philip Seymour Hoffman, who passed away in February.

Josh Hutcherson, known to fans as Peeta Mellark from “The Hunger Games” movies, more than made up for that, by dedicating the trophy for Movie of the Year to the Oscar-winning actor.

Josh was on hand to accept the award, together with “Catching Fire” co-star Sam Claflin, who was added to the franchise with its most recent installment. Jennifer Lawrence, Josh’s co-star, was not in attendance.

“I also want to say real quickly, I know that if Philip were here, he would think this is really cool. And to have him in our movies was one of the coolest things in the world. He’s one of the actors I’ve looked up to my entire life and we think about him every day on set. So wherever he is, this definitely goes out to him as well,” Josh said.

Johnny Depp was the celebrity presenter and, as you can see, he simply could not leave his ripped hat at home. He does love it a lot.
