They couldn’t have done it without help from the Geek Squad and Conan O’Brien

Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield, and Jamie Foxx had an exclusive new clip from “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” to bring to the 2014 MTV Movie Awards, which took place last night in Los Angeles, but, as you can see in the first video embedded below, they ran into some serious trouble right before it was supposed to run.

Garfield, who plays Peter Parker / Spider-Man, forgot his own password to his laptop. Luckily for him and for all three of them, Emma knew what to do, so she called the Geek Squad, which sent their best man on the job.

That turned out to be Conan O’Brien aka Coco, who also hosted the awards gala. He came in and, after some more yelling, he managed to make Andrew remember the password.

The actual movie clip is the second one below. It shows a confrontation between Spidey and one of the three villains he’ll be going up against in the sequel, Electro (Foxx). You can tell from the video that it’s meant to be particularly impressive in 3D – assuming that the 3D will be done well, that is.

“The Amazing Spider-Man 2” will be out in theaters on May 2. Sony Pictures announced after the first one that their intention had been, from the start, to come out with a trilogy. So, you should probably expect an open-type of ending.
