The days of MTV’s hit series “Teen Mom 2” are more or less numbered, insiders tell the press. Jenelle Evans, one of the four stars of the series, is simply bringing too much bad press to it, so network bosses are thinking of pulling the plug.

In recent months, Evans went to rehab, got married, became pregnant again, had a miscarriage and live-tweeted it, lashed out at her husband on the same channel, accused him of assault and threatened him with divorce.

While controversy is always welcome, especially with MTV, things are really getting out of hand, the New York Post writes.

“The controversial documentary series, which follows the adult lives of four women who became pregnant in high school, is shutting down production, multiple sources tell The Post,” the e-zine writes.

“The decision to end the show follows several months of erratic, headline-grabbing behavior by loose-cannon star Jenelle Evans,” the Post adds.

MTV has also issued a statement to say that the fate of the show hasn’t been decided yet.
