MSI to Bundle DiRT 3 with Radeon 6000-Series Graphics Cards

MSI has just announced a special bundle program for its AMD 6000-series graphics cards which will entitle users who buy such products to get a free copy of Codemaster's popular DiRT 3 rally driving game.

The cards that come with this promotion can be distinguished from MSI's other products thanks to the DiRT 3 sticker that is placed on front of the box.

Together with this press release, MSI also revealed some of the cards that will feature this promotional bundle, and these include the R6850 Cyclone, the MSI R6770 and the MSI R6670.

All of these feature custom MSI designs and meet the DiRT 3 recommended system requirements, but the R6670 will limit the maximum resolution and the detail level that the game can be run at.

The best-suited card for Codemaster's game is the R6850 Cyclone which is based on AMD's Barts Pro core and features 960 stream processors, 48 texture units, 32 ROP units and a 256-bit wide memory bus that is connected to 1GB of frame buffer.

The Cyclone graphics card is available in two versions, one working at the standard 775MHz GPU and 1GHz (4GHz effective) memory frequencies while the O/C part has the graphics core overclocked to 860MHz, while the video buffer runs at 4400MHz.

“By purchasing select MSI Radeon HD 6850/6770/6670 AMD series graphics cards with special "DiRT 3" sticker on the packaging, a game activation code can be found that allows download of the full game,” reads the official MSI statement.

More details about the parts that will be included in the DiRT 3 promotion should be available shortly.

The MSI Radeon R6670 graphics card has an MSRP of $99.99, while the R6770 and the R6850 Cyclone Power Edition retail for $119.99 and $169.99, respectively.
