MSI has come up with quite a few interesting tablet designs lately under its WindPad brand, and it seems that it will also adopt the AMD Fusion APU platform in its future WindPad 110W product, set to be revealed at CeBIT 2011.

As some of you might remember, MSI already outed a WindPad tablet built on Intel architecture (the Z530 Atom processor, to be exact) a while ago, namely model WindPad 100W, that's already gone on sale across Europe in late January, for an estimated 587 Euro (710 US dollars).

However, it seems that the company's not willing to let AMD's Fusion platform go by, and for this reason, they've decided to incorporate the AMD C-50 APU (codename Ontario) into the 110W model, according to a report by Digitimes.

The new tablet from MSI will sport roughly the same form factor as its predecessors (namely, 10.1-inch display), but the Radeon HD 6310 discrete-class graphics chip the Ontario Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) comes equipped with will certainly boost the portable device's capabilities, as it will even offer support for DirectX 11 content.

Additional features provided by this future tablet will apparently include a 32GB SSD unit (a bit on the small size, if you ask us), as well as built-in Wi-Fi module for Internet connectivity, as well as a light sensor that will automatically adjust the display's brightness level depending on the environment conditions.

Unfortunately, for the time being, no pricing and/or availability regarding MSI's WindPad 110W have been provided, but it's quite likely that these important pieces of information will become available soon enough, given that CeBIT 2011 is only around 1 week away.

However, given the harsh competition on the tablet market, we certainly hope that MSI will choose its price point wisely, because otherwise, it might wind up with a over-expensive product no-one wants to buy.
