Taiwan-based MSI, one of the world's leading vendors of computer platforms, has recently announced its new line of AMD-based motherboards, coming to provide its customers with support for the newly launched AMD 785G integrated graphics chipset. The company's new lineup has been designed to provide users with support for the latest AM3 processors from the world's second largest chip maker, including support for both dual-channel DDR2 and DDR3 memory configurations. Such features make MSI's latest 785G-series mainboards a noteworthy alternative for building a future-proof system that can do multimedia, gaming and provide support for a basic computing experience.

As a quick recap of what the new 785G chipset has to offer, we need to highlight the introduction of the new Radeon HD 4200 series of integrated graphics chip. This provides users of the new platform with support for the latest DirectX 10.1 applications as well as for HDMI 1.3 connectivity and boasts the new and enhanced UV2 (Unified Video Decoder) technology. In addition, as mentioned before, the new platform will allow motherboard makes to introduce new mainboards that could be featured with support for DDR2 or DDR3 memory.

As far as MSI's lineup is concerned, the new motherboards will pack a couple of the company's own technologies and features, including the APS Intelligent power-saving technology, the Easy OC switch and a new BIOS M Flash solution. These are meant to provide the end-user with a stable and affordable platform that can be used for a number of desktop computer designs.

The company is yet to unveil a full list of products featuring the newly released chipset, as well as the pricing and availability details, but there's a good chance MSI will be rolling out a couple of new designs boasting the aforementioned AMD platform.
