Advanced Micro Devices' latest graphics card, the Radeon HD 4830, was officially introduced just yesterday, and the vendors have already started to unveil new boards based on this solution. Micro-Star International is one of these makers, and it announced not one or two such new graphics solutions, but four of them right off the bat. All four models are based on the 55nm-built RV770LE chip, and differ in the amount of memory they come with and in the core clock speed they feature.

Basically, the MSI R4830-T2D512, R4830-T2D512-OC, R4830-T2D1G and R4830-T2D1G-OC are quite similar to each other, featuring the same red PCBs, a dual-slot cooling solution equipped with a Seaweed-Blade fan, beside a 4+1 phase power, DirectX 10.1 support, CrossFireX readiness, a 256-bit memory interface, and dual-DVI connectivity.

The R4830-T2D512 and R4830-T2D512-OC, as their name suggests, come with 512MB of memory, while the R4830-T2D1G and R4830-T2D1G-OC models come packed with 1GB. The memory frequency is the same for all cards, 1800 MHz, yet their core clock speeds differ. The non-OC graphics solutions come with a stock core clock frequency set at 575 MHz, compared with the RV770LE of the factory overclocked versions, which boast 585 MHz.

Pictures of the new MSI cards surfaced the Web earlier this week, along with more specs on them, but the company said nothing about the number of 4830-based cards it wanted to release. RV770LE seems to have appealed a lot to the maker, since it launched four such cards, and we only hope that the cards will appeal to users as well. At this moment, only the R4830-T2D512, R4830-T2D512-OC graphics cards are available for purchase in stores, and they feature price tags of $150 (120 Euros) and $163 (130 Euros), respectively.
