Taiwanese manufacturer MSI has recently updated its line of high-end graphics cards with the introduction of a custom GeForce GTX 285 card, providing users with as much as 2GB of GDDR3 RAM memory and a custom dual-slot cooling solution. The new card builds on the performances achieved by NVIDIA's fastest single-GPU graphics card offering released so far, the GeForce GTX 285.

MSI's new NVIDIA-based solution is part of the company's new line of SuperPipe-equipped graphics cards, specifically designed to provide users with an alternative to the reference cards. The SuperPipe technology is meant to improve cooling by using 8mm thick heatpipes, which are 60% thicker than competitive solutions. According to MSI, the technology allows for a cooling boost of approximately 90%, which essentially enables the enthusiast PC user to further boost the performance of the card by overclocking the card's GPU and memory to higher speeds.

The combination between MSI's new SuperPipe technology and NVIDIA's latest GeForce GTX 285 GPU has enabled the Taiwanese company to roll out a new card that packs an impressive 2GB of memory. The N285GTX SuperPipe 2G is one of the few cards on the market that can provide the end-user with as much as 2GB of memory. This feature is meant to further boost performance and allow the end-user to take advantage of a high-quality visual experience, even when playing some of the most demanding applications out there.

Unfortunately, the company hasn't yet revealed the details regarding the card's GPU and memory speeds, but it's likely that they are set at standard frequencies. However, if you want a GeForce GTX 285 card that is equipped with MSI's custom cooler and comes with a factory-overclocked GPU, MSI already has such a card in its offering, though this model only sports 1GB of memory.
