A new month has commenced and, just like all of its rivals on the PC front, Micro-Star International seems to think it is an opportune time for a new batch of products to come out. The company, thus, decided to kickstart a new string of releases by unleashing a mobile PC based on one of the new platforms from Advanced Micro Devices, the Danube to be exact. The device in question is known as the CR410 and is the newest update to the company's Classic series of high-end, multimedia-oriented notebooks.
An AMD Athlon dual-core CPU lies at the heart of the product and handles all computing tasks, while up to 8GB of RAM back it up and let it work at its full potential. The configuration also includes a hard disk drive with 250GB, 320GB or 500GB, as well as a 4-in-1 card reader. What's more, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4270 integrated graphics controller is present, and this solution has full reign over the 14-inch display with a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. As for connectivity and I/O, Gigabit Ethernet is present, as is Bluetooth 2.1, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and a 0.3 megapixel webcam.
“MSI Marketing Director Sam Chern points out that the CR410 boasts MSI’s exclusive 45-degree beveled construction, power-saving, cinema-class 16:9 ratio LED display, as well as MSI’s own ECO Engine power saving technology. The sophisticated exterior, superior multimedia performance, and extended battery power life make it the best choice for affordable mobile entertainment,” states the official press release on the company's website.
The Eco Engine power saving technology optimizes the efficiency of power consumption, and this will allow the 6-cell battery to keep the machine operational for longer than otherwise possible, though the exact battery life has not been mentioned. Pricing details are, likewise, still undisclosed.
